Loss Drafts
Its frustrating enough waiting for your insurance company to pay the claim. To further delay the process, you may find your mortgage company’s name on the loss draft check as well. This is done to protect the lien holders investment in the property, ensuring the checks are in fact used to have the repairs done to the property. To secure the proper endorsement, you must contact your mortgage company’s LOSS DRAFT DEPARTMENT as soon as you receive any check with them listed as a payee and ask them how they would like you to proceed. We can assist you every step of the way- just let us know. We’re here to help.
